Canadian, self-taught luxury leather handbag designer
I’m a Canadian, self-taught leather handbag designer — and yes, I truly taught myself. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a craft I couldn’t stop refining. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of design, proportion, and detail — all through hands-on experience and countless hours at my sewing table.
Aside from two beginner sewing courses I took back in 2003, everything I know about working with leather has been self-directed. I didn’t go to design school. I didn’t apprentice under anyone. I learned by studying handbags I admired, breaking them down into puzzle pieces in my mind, and then rebuilding them from scratch.
To this day, I can look at almost any bag and instantly see how it’s constructed — every panel, seam, reinforcement, and stitch line mapped out in my head. That ability became the foundation of my craft.
What started as curiosity turned into instinct. Working with leather feels natural to me — like speaking a language I was always meant to learn.
Every bag is designed, cut, and sewn by me in my home studio. I don’t outsource production. I don’t mass produce. Each piece is made in small batches or as a custom order, carefully constructed with intention and attention to detail.
I’m known for combining timeless silhouettes with distinctive leathers — creating handbags that are every bit as luxurious as they are unique. I believe a bag should feel special the moment you carry it — substantial, polished, and thoughtfully designed.
My goal is simple: to create beautifully made handbags that feel special every time you carry them — timeless silhouettes, distinctive leathers, and refined details designed to elevate your outfit and leave you feeling confident and polished.
